EL ARTE DE GANAR PASTA
La semana pasada falleció Malcom McLaren, avispado vendedor de humo que dirigió la carrera de los Sex Pistols, magistral historia de marketing que nos contó en el documental “El Gran Timo del Rock and Roll”.
El dinero y el comercio siempre han estado relacionados con el arte, y la música no podía ser ajena a ello. Una muestra de ello la encontramos en la estupenda canción que Joey Ramone dedicó a María Bartiromo, conocida periodista económica de la CNBC, especializada en Bolsa y Mercados, preguntándole a María ¿Qué está ocurriendo con mis acciones?. La verdad es que me resulta curioso que un reconocido liberal de izquierdas como Joey sintiera tanta atracción por algo tan poco social como la bolsa de valores… yo creo que en esta época Joey ya chocheaba un poco y se mataba a pajas con María, juzgad vosotros mismos:
Curiosamente Joey Ramone estuvo veinte años sin hablarse con Johnny Ramone porque éste, además de ser un facha, le birló la novia, por eso le dedicó una de las canciones más emblemáticas de Ramones, “The KKK (Ku Klux Klan) Took My Baby Away”, en venganza por lo acontecido Johnny tuvo que tocar con su guitarra cientos de veces la canción y Joey se la cantaba en Suecia con verdadera rabia de amante despechado. Aunque yo sinceramente me quedo con la versión japonesa. Próxima semana: Revillos vs Rezillos.
