SMOKE ON THE WATER

Esta es probablemente (y casualmente) una de las 10 (o 100) canciones más importantes de la historia del rock y tiene tras ella una interesante historia que cuenta la misma canción en su propia letra, historia que os resumo a continuación. Deep Purple se encontraban en el casino de Montreux para grabar en el famoso camión (destro había un estudio de grabación) de los Rolling Stones su LP titulado "Machine Head". En estas que en el casino de Montreux tocaban Frank Zappa & The Mothers of invention.... y mientras tocaban la canción King kong, alguno que ya estaba harto de tanto truño tiró una bengala que dió en el techo y prendió un incendio que acabó con todo el casino, espectáculo que Deep Purple vieron en directo y decidieron contárnoslo esa misma noche a su sicodélica manera... humo sobre el agua del lago Ginebra y fuego en el cielo, como dice la canción...
